About the Designer
Lori Kyler Christensen is the creative mind and designer behind the brands within the world of the LKC Collection. Her handmade, Boston-based couture labels and brands have been a staple of the region's ever-evolving fashion industry for many years. This carries on with the 2017 launch of her Siren, Envy, and Industry brands. Siren is available now with the other two brands launching VERY soon!
The versatile Christensen has a background in music as a singer and entertainment as a reporter/host on Dirty Water TV (a regional nightlife and entertainment show on New England Sports Network or NESN). Christensen started a lifestyle brand with a video series called Zero Fox Life. ZFL is a comedy based video series and online community with live streams, a humor focused merchandise line, and a small collection of fun viral products.
Christensen has been creating, designing, and sewing her entire life. When you are buying from one of her brands, you are buying a handmade “work” of art. LKC's plan of becoming a professional singer was put on hold when she was diagnosed with epilepsy in her early 20's, which paved the way for her focus in the future of fashion. Her fashion shows and events typically highlight and support one of the several philanthropic initiatives that she believes in. She has no formal training in fashion design/construction, and relies solely on the inherited talent for sewing and design from her grandmother, Lucy.
Christensen was asked directly by Arianna Huffington to write an article about her Grandmother's connection to fashion, and how it shaped her budding career. A few years later, in 2015, LKC became an official contributing writer for the Huffington Post. Her articles consist of various topics ranging from current events, to personal growth experiences, to humor, and more...
With the support of her wonderful Mother and amazing friends, Lori has been able to continue to pursue all of her dreams, always living by the motto, "Life is short. So work hard, play hard, and positive vibes only."
